The Hachioji Tokyo Business Office of Konica Corporation is inaugurated as our company's Hachioji Office for the manufacture line of copiers' bodies.

- Sekonic Sansei Technologies (shenzhen) Co.,Ltd. (present SHENZEN SEKONIC TECHNOLOGIES CO.,LTD) is established as a subsidiary(present consolidated subsidiary) in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China.

- The company takes over the business rights of viscometers from CBC Co., Ltd.

- Subsidiaries Fukushima Sekonic Corporation and Hakodate Sekonic Corporation merge to become Sekonic Electronics Inc.
